赤色クリプトンレーザー光凝固による出血や,緑色アルゴンレーザーによる網膜血管炎などの合併症を避ける試みとして,黄斑部網膜下新生血管膜を,先ず緑色アルゴンレーザーで耳側部を,次で赤色クリプトンレーザーで鼻側,中心窩近接部および血管膜周囲を凝固した.
術後3カ月から1年の経過観察で,滲出性老人性黄斑変性症は46例中,視力改善29例,不変7例,悪化10例で,出血性中心性網脈絡膜炎は3例何れも視力改善をみた.脈絡膜出血や網膜出血,網膜血管炎などの合併症は見られず,赤色クリプトンレーザー単独凝固に較べて多少とも良好の成績であった.
Argon green and krypton red laser was applied to 46 eyes with senile exudative maculopathy as a trial to avoid complications as retinal or choroidal hemorrhage, and retinal vasculitis. Subretinal vas-cular membrane in the macula was coagulated with green argon along the temporal margin. Red krypton was then applied along the nasal margin near the fovea and also around the vascular mem-brane.
After a follow-up period of 3 to 12 months, the visual acuity improved in 29 eyes, remained un-changed in 7 and deteriorated in 10. The treatment was successful in 3 cases of hemorrhagic central chorioretinitis. There occurred none of the compli-cations as cited above. The therapeutic results were, in general, better than conventional photocoagulation with krypton red laser alone.
