Ofloxacin眼軟膏のクラミジア性結膜炎に対する臨床効果の検討

Clinical effect of ofloxacin ointment for chlamydial conjunctivitis

　臨床的にクラミジア性結膜炎と診断した症例17例にofloxacin眼軟膏（DE-055）を1日4回の頻度で用い薬剤の効果を自覚的，他覚的に判定した．

　薬剤の効果は病因を確認した7例中2例が著効，2例は有効で7例中に無効果は認められなかった．クラミジアが疑われた症例10例では無効例が2例，判定不能が1例に認められたが，他は効果が認められた．新生児1例では眼軟膏使用後眼瞼湿疹を示した．

　細菌の混合感染が7／17（41％）に認められ，エリスロマイシンとテトラサイクリンに較べて耐性の少ないofloxacinがクラミジア感染には有益であり，ofloxacinの点眼液で効果の少なかった症例に眼軟膏は有効であった．

We treated 17 cases with acute conjunctivitis due to chlamydia trachomatis by 0.3% ofloxacin ointment (DE -055) instilled 3 times daily for 2 weeks. The cases included definite ones (7 cases) and probable ones (11). There were 10 newborn babies and 7 adults.

Favorable therapeutic results were obtained in 14 out of the 17 cases (82%) : excellent in 6, good in 5, fair in 3 and poor in 3. All the cases responded favorably in 7 cases with definitive diagnosis of chlamydial conjun-ctivitis : excellent in 2, good in 2 and fair in 3. Blephar-itis developed in a neonatal baby as complication of the treatment.
