85歳の婦人で左下眼瞼に巨大な暗紫色の腫瘍がみられ，生検の結果，悪性リンパ腫と診断された1例を報告する．高齢のため発症後も無処置のまま放置されたため，初診時には巨大な腫瘍に増大しており開眼も不可能であった．生検標本により組織学的には，非ホジキンリンパ腫に属するびまん性リンパ腫．小細胞型と診断された．
化学療法（vincristineとprednisoloneの併用）で著効を示した．本症の様な高齢で入院加療の困難な症例においても化学療法を行えば，かなりの延命効果があると考える．
A 85-year-old female presented a tumor in the left lower eyelid preventing opening of the eye. The large, dark-violet neoplasm was diagnosed as malignant lymphoma of the orbit by biopsy. Cyto-static treatment resulted in considerable reduction in the size of the tumor after 2 weeks. Chemothera-py thus appeared to be the treatment of choice for malignant lymphoma in such aged and infirm patients.
