  • Look Inside

Cyclodeviation is compensated primarily by sensory means. The compensatory mechanism for cyclode-viation includes, among others, cyclofusion and sensory adaptation (anomaly of retinal corres-pondence).

A series of 38 patients with cyclovertical stra-bismus were evaluated as to subjective and objec-tive cyclodeviation in order to investigate the sen-sory adaptation. The cases included 24 congenital or early-onset cases and 14 late-onset cases after childhood. Fundus Haploscope was used in the pres-ent evaluation. It has the function of a haploscope and a pair of infrared TV cameras.
