犬蛔虫（toxocara canis）幼虫によると思われる眼内炎の2症例

Two cases of suspected ocular toxocariasis

　抗犬蛔虫抗体が陽性で，しかも典型的な臨床嫁を示した犬蛔虫幼虫によると思われる眼内炎の2症例を報告した。数少ない小児ぶどう膜炎中，本症は高率に発症している。

　現在，本症の診断は，虫体の検出あるいは観察できない症例では，臨床的および免疫血清学的所見によりなされている。しかし，わが国では，犬蛔虫の不顕性感染が多々あるものと考えられることから，本症の診断は，臨床所見を主体にすべきであると考える。

Two female children, aged 8 and 10 years each, developed typical clinical manifestations of ocular toxocariasis. Specific antibodies against Toxocara canis were detected by enzyme-linked immuno-assay in the sera of both cases.

Almost all the puppies between 1 and 6 months of age in our district have been examined to be in-fested by the larva of Toxocara canis. Also, we have found anti-Toxocara antibodies in the sera of some apparently healthy human population. These findings seem to suggest that there may be considerable incidence of latent infestation by Toxocara canis in Japan.
