  • Look Inside

A case of Turner's syndrome showed unusual fundus features. A 62-year-old female, 119 cm in height and 25 kg in weight, sought medical ad-vice for decreased vision due to bilateral cataract, contraction of the visual field and strabismus. Physical examinations revealed webbed neck and cubitus valgus. The patient had been amenorrhoic throughout her life. ERG studies showed decreas-ed a-wave and disappearance of the oscillating potential and the b-wave. Damage in rod cells was also suggested by delay of dark adaptation and rise of the ending threshold. Her karyotype was 46 X, i (Xq), confirming the diagnosis of Turner's syndrome.
