　4歳女児の左上限瞼内嘴部に腫瘤を認め，その大きさは約1ヵ月間で約縦1.2cm×横1.0cmから約縦1.7cm×横1.5cmに増大したが，疼痛，圧痛，眼瞼下垂，眼球突出，視力障害等の眼科的訴えはなかった。外科的に腫瘍の摘出を行ったが，腫瘍は左篩骨洞，左鼻腔まで達しており完全摘出は困難であった。術後摘出標本の病理組織学的検索を行い，光学顕微鏡，電子顕微鏡および走査電子顕微鏡的所見において，本腫瘍を眼瞼原発の胎児型横紋筋肉腫と考えた。

A 4-year-old female developed subcutaneous tumor in the left upper eyelid near the lateral canthus. The growth of the tumor was rapid and it attained a size of 15 mm by 17 mm within 4 months after its detection by her mother. The tumor was found to extend into the ethmoidal sinus during surgery.Histologically, the tumor consisted of malignant cells which were round, oval or elongated with chromatin-rich nuclei and long ribbons of eosino-philic cytoplasm. Collagen fibers and cross stria-tions were seen with PTHA stain. PAS stains showed glycogen in the cytoplasm and argyrophil fibers were shown by Bielshowsky's stain.
