単純ヘルペスウイルス眼感染症の静注用ペプシン処理人免疫グロブリン療法

Immunoglobulin therapy for ocular herpes simplex infection

　単純ヘルペス性角膜炎（樹枝状角膜炎2例，2眼，円板状角膜炎9例9眼）および単純ヘルペス性眼瞼疱疹4例に静注用ペプシン処理ヒト免疫グロブリン（ガンマーベニン®）を試用し，以下の結論を得た。

（1）樹枝状角膜炎および眼瞼疱疹には静注用ペプシン処理ヒト免疫グロブリンの点眼や滴下が有効であった。

（2）若年者ほど効果が大であった。

（3）遷延化した実質型角膜炎には効果が得られなかった。

（4）実質型角膜炎でも新鮮なうちに早期治療を開始すれば効果が得られることがうかがわれた。

We treated 13 cases with ocular herpes simplex infection by means of topical and/or systemic gam-maglobulin (Gamma-Venin®). Herpetic blephari-tis in 4 patients responded favorably to topical gammaglobulin and IDU ointment. Herpetic den-dritic keratitis in 2 infants showed remarkable improvement after a combined therapy of topical gammaglobulin and antiherpetic agensts (IDU or Ara-A). Herpetic stromal keratitis in 7 subjects showed a poor response to the therapy, as 2 eyes could be brought to cure and as the therapy was initiated at an early stage of the disease in these 2 cases.
