静注用ペプシン処理ヒト免疫グロブリンの角膜ヘルペスに対する治療効果

Treatment of corneal herpes by intravenous pepsin-treated human immunoglobulin

緒　言

　角膜ヘルペスに対する治療法としては，従来IDU点眼，IDC点眼，システィン点眼などの局所療法，種々の薬剤の全身投与なども試みられて来た。また近年冷凍手術法の開発にともない同疾患に対してもこの方法が利用されるようになり多大の効果をもたらしている。しかしこれらのどのような治療法も有効でない症例もあり，現在のところ角膜ヘルペスに対して絶対的に的確な治療法はない。今回著者は，種々の治療法を試みられ，これらに抵抗した難治性角膜ヘルペスに対し最近開発された静注用ペプシン処理ヒト免疫グロブリン製剤（Gamma Venin以下G．V．と略す）を用い著名な好結果をもたらした症例を経験したので報告する。

Recurrence of corneal herpes was successfully treatment by intravenous pepsin-treated human immunoglobulin (Gamma Venin). The patient, a 63-year-old male, had been suffering from recurrent corneal herpes during the past 6 years. Since the latest recurrence 4 months before, thecondition took a severe and protracted course and was refractile to cryoapplication, topical IDU or cystein treatments. Intravenous pepsin-treated human immunoglobulin was administered every third day. The condition showed remar-kable improvement after three applications of 2.5 gr of the agent.
