単純ヘルペスウイルス眼感染症に対するγ—グロブリン早期療法

Early immunoglobulin therapy for ocular herpes simplex infection

　単純ヘルペスウイルス眼感染症8眼，うち7眼は角膜炎，1眼は角膜炎を伴わない水疱性眼瞼疱疹および帯状ヘルペスによる角膜ぶどう膜炎2眼に対し，静注用ペプシン処理人免疫グロブリン（ガンマーベニン^R）の早期投与（発症後0日〜30日）を行った。その結果は次のようなものであった。

（1）単純ヘルペスウイルス眼感染症および帯状ヘルペス性角膜ぶどう膜炎において，免疫グロブリン療法は発症早期のものにより効果的であった。

（2）免疫グロブリンの投学方法は表層性角膜炎または眼瞼疱疹では点眼，滴下療法，また実質性角膜炎では点滴療法が効果的であった。

（3）免疫グロブリンの点滴療法は連続投与の方が隔日投与よりも効果的であった。

We previously reported that y-globulin (GV)^R therapy appeared to be effective in the treatment of ocular herpes simplex virus (H.S.V.) infection, if the therapy was started at the early stage of the disease. In the present study, the efficacy of the early GV therapy was more closely examined in eight eyes of H.S.V. infection and two eyes of herpes zoster virus (H.Z.V.) infection accompanied with keratouveitis. The therapy was started at various stages ranging from 0 to 30 days (mean; 14 days) after onset of the disease.
