（1）糖尿病性網膜症25例，静脈血栓症22例，Eales病3例の計50例を対像とし，硝子体手術前に超音波，ERG検査を実施し，術後視力との相関をみた。

（2）超音波にて完全硝子体剥離で，かつERGにてnomalのものは，術後平均視力0.95（0.6〜1.5）と良好で，超音波にて不完全硝子体剥離で，かつERGにてflatのものは術後視力は不良であった。

（3）術前の超音波，ERG検査の組み合わせ分類は，術後視力とよく相関した（P＜0.01）。すなわち術前の超音波，ERG検査の組み合わせにより，術後の視力予後推定の可能性が示唆された。

We evaluated the prognostic value of electro-retinogram (ERG) and ultrasonography prior to vitreous surgery in 50 cases with opaque vitreous due to diabetic retinopathy (25), retinal vein oc-clusion (22) and Eales' disease (3). Ultrasonogra-phic features were classified into 3 types : V-1 (complete posterior vitreous detachment), V-2 (posterior vitreous detachment with retinal adhe-sion) and V-3 (diffuse vitreous opacity). The ERG features were classified into 3 types : N (normal), M (subnormal) and F (flat). The visual acuity following viteous surgery was correlated with the above features.
