緒　言

　視覚系，とくに色覚のメカニズムについては近年各分野においてひろく研究が行われ，心理物理学的手法によつても，その機序が次第に明らかにされつつある。

　これらの機序解明にあたつては，正常者のみならず，諸種の疾患を有する異常者についての検索が重要な情報をもたらすことはいうまでもない。臨床的には，一般に色盲表，色相配列検査，ランタンテスト，アノマロスコープ，さらには暗順応計，視野計などが用いられているが，このうらとくに，網膜中心外部位の視機能をとらえるためには，視野計の反射面を利用するのが現在最も適している。しかし，color perimetry本来の目的を達するためには既存のものでは必ずしも十分とはいえない。

We constructed a new color perimeter in order to determine the characteristics of wavelength on the retinal area and to investigate the visual functions as preliminary to clinical application of the method.

A 500-watt xenon lamp served as light source, assuring a high target luminance (25,000 cd/m² maximally) and a high background luminance (2,200 cd/m² maximally). A remote-control system was used for the adjustment of the target and the background light, the luminance, the duration and the interval of target presentation. We conducted a series of static color perimetry with high-lumi-nance white and colored backgrounds.
