The observation system of retinoscopy

緒　言

　今までに，従来のレチノスコピー理論の不完全を指摘し^1），開口絞りの概念を導入して修正補完した基礎理論を発表した^2）。さらに，いわゆるcutoff phenomenon,scissors movementsの考察^3）およびスキャニングの方法^4）についても発表した。観察系の基礎につき今回発表する。

The observation system of retinoscopy begins at the patient's retina and ends at the examiner's retina. The system is optically independent from the illumination system of retinoscopy.

In order to exclude unnecessary movement from the system, the examiner's retina and the patient's pupil must be conjugate for each other. The sight hole of a retinoscope, not the exami-ner's pupil, should be the aperture-stop in the observation system.
