Subretinal tracks in ocular toxocariasis

緒　言

　犬蛔幼虫による眼球の移行幼虫症候群（viscerallarva migrans syndrome）の報告は，欧米では1950年のWilder^1）を始めとしてその後多くの報告がみられる。これに対して，本症の罹患条件が欧米とほぼ同じと考えられるにもかかわらず，わが国における本症の報告は，吉岡^2），近藤^3）の2例をみるのみできわめて少ない。

　最近われわれは，ブドウ膜炎で発症し，炎症の消退とともに網膜下に"虫跡"と思われる灰白色の線条が広範囲に観察され，免疫電気泳動法でtoxocara canisと診断された1症例に遭遇したので，その概要を報告する。

A 53-year-old male developed acute iritis and vitreous opacity in his left eye. After the opaci-ties in the optic media had subsided following topical and systemic corticosteroid treatment, we detected tortuous gray lines in the afhicted fun-clus closely simulating subretinal worm tracks that are characteristic for toxocara canis infec-tion. The diagnosis was confirmed by immuno-phoresis of the serum of the patient for toxocara canis. The incidence of this condition is appa-rently very low in Japan and our case is the third reported one dealing with subretinal affec-tion.
