A case of iridoschisis

緒　言

　Iridoschisisとは，中胚葉虹彩実質の部分的分割すなわち，線維が崩壊して前葉が分離し，その遊離端が前房に浮んでいるという稀な疾患で，1922年Schmitt^1）により初めて報告された。彼はこれを虹彩前葉の剥離（Ablosung des vorderenIrisblattes）と呼んだが，Loewenstein^2）は1945年Iridoschisisと命名し，以来，この病名が冠された。私は最近，この稀な疾患をみる機会に恵まれたのでここに報告する。

A report is presented of a 81-year-old female with iridoschisis and glaucoma in both eyes. This iris showed splitting and separation of the anterior from the posterior layer over the lower hemi-sphere. The anterior chamber was narrow and did not manifest apparent relationship between the iridoschisis and glaucoma.
