Juvenile Xanthogranuloma of the Iris

緒言

　Juvenile Xanthogranulomaは皮膚科領域では比較的古くからNevoxantho-Endotheliolnaと呼ばれ，一種の良性腫瘍として知られた疾患である。1949年Blankら^1）によって，前部ブドウ膜に本疾患の病巣，発生例が報告されて以来眼科的にも注目され始めた疾患である。その後眼内症例の報告が増加し，臨床的には幼児における片眼性再発性前房出血，続発緑内障，虹彩の肥厚と黄色調の斑状病巣が特徴とされ，さらに皮膚症状が伴えば確診につながるものとされている。組織学的には組織球の浸潤と新生血管，Touton型巨細胞の出現がみられる。

　今回われわれは前房出血をくり返し，続発緑内障を起こした症例で，虹彩試験切除により診断を確定，放射線治療により全治せしめ得た症例を経験したのて，光顕像，電顕像を加えて報告する。

A case of juvenile xanthogranuloma of the iris s presented. The patient was a 3-year-old girl who developed repeated episodes of spontaneous hyphema and secondary glaucoma. No skin lesion was manifest.

Iris biopsy led to the diagnosis of juvenile xanthogranuloma on account of the presence of histiocytes and Touton giant cells. The eye was saved by radiation therapy.
