超短時間流涙テスト—5秒間綿糸連続測定法とSchirmer法（5分間濾紙1回測定法）

Fine thread method and filter paper method for measuring lacrimation

緒　言

　流涙テストはシエグレン症候群の診断，聴神経腫瘍や小脳橋角部病巣の補助診断，顔面神経麻痺の部位診断と手術方法の決定，コンタクトレンズ装用の適否の決定などに使用される。シルマー法^1）は最も普及しているが信頼性に乏しく涙分泌減少症の大まかなスクリーニングテストとして使用されているにすぎない。われわれはすでに綿糸を用いる流涙テスト法を報告してきたが^2〜5），更に本法を発展させ連続測定することにより涙分泌減少の程度を知りうるようにしたので報告する。

A new tear test using fine cotton thread, 0.25 mm in diameter was devised. This test takes only five seconds, compared Schirmer's first method which takes five minutes. I made criteria for a tentative diagnosis of degree of lacrimal deficiency in the three consecutive measurement of this test for patients without lacrimal drainage dysfunction as follows:

Stage 1 (possible lacrimal deficiency) : I ) less than 1.00 in ratio (diseased side/normal side: d/n) in all of the three consecutive measurements.
