Rupture of the posterior lens capsule due to blunt ocular trauma is a rare event. Recently we observed two instances of this condition. The first case, a 10-year-old boy, had been hit on the left eye by a lump of cray thrown by his schoolmate. Through the cloudy lens material, we observed the posterior lens capsule to be ruptured and the lens nucleus delivered into the vitreous through the capsular wound. The second case, a 12-year-old boy, had been pushed forcibly on the right eye by the knee of his friend when engaged in wrestling.
