  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The authors performed many kinds of intraocualr operations on 13 patients of infants and children aged 2 months to 9 years under intratracheal general narcosis.

The results were as follows :

1) Preoperational treatment and premedication were important to narcotize smoothly.

2) For the ophthalmic operations, the deepness of the narcosis was best at the 2nd plane of the 3rd stage.

3) the atropin used for premedication had no influence on the eye.

4) There were no accidents and no side-effects accompanying the narcosis.
