偏光の角膜形態解析への応用について

1．緒言

　角膜に関する偏光現象については，Koepe^16）17）L.Naylor E．J．^18）等により古くから研究が行われ，本邦に於ても吉川氏^{11）−14）}，石黒氏^15）等の報告があり，又最近では三島氏^1）−10）が多くの興味ある報告をなされている。之等は何れも角膜構造の偏光性について述べてあるのであるが，著者は先きにフォトケラトスコピーによる正常角膜の形態解析に関する研究を試みたので，更に之をすすめて偏光による形態観察の実験を行つてみた。

　即ちこの偏光による観察が透明体である角膜の形態判定の一方法として応用出来るのではないかと期待し，三島氏^1）−10）の御好意によつて拝借させて戴いた偏光装置を用いて，正常角膜及び円錐角膜の観察を試みたものである。

The author used the Mishima's polarizing apparatus to observe the normal and the coni-cal corneas and to photograph them. Patterns observed were different in Keratoconus from Normal. Further analysis of this interference would be helpful for the investigation of the corneal structure.
