興味ある経過をとつた眼窩内異物の1例について

A case of report of a orbital foreign body

緒言

　眼窩内に於ける異物の報告例は既に可成の症例を数えているが，併し乍らその中で，異物の長さが眼窩軸の長さ以上に達し，更に認むべき後遺症を残さずに治癒した症例は少い様である。偶々私は，巨大な鉄釘が眼窩内に刺入し乍ら，何らの後遺症も残さずに治癒した非常に稀な，そして幸運な症例を経験したので茲に報告する。

The patient was a man aged 21 years, and was occupied in the building industry. When he was driving a nail by a machine into concrete, the nail rebounded and got stuck into his left orbit.

The author observed a marked chocked-disk in this left eye and also disturbances of movements of the eyeball. For a month, the author did not notice the foreign body in the orbit, until radiography disclosed it.

Soon after that, the author removed the foreign body which was a nail 8cm long and 4 mm in diameter.

After removal of the foreign body, the patient recovered quickly and heald up almost completely.
