穿孔性鉄片眼外傷の臨床と病理

A clinical Aspect and Pathology of perforative injuries of the eye-ball due to an iron piece

I．緒言

　まことにクラシックな演題を掲げて恐縮にたえないが，ここにもやはり時代の波は，おし寄せている。昨日の知識で，今日の臨床を取り扱うと，既に1日の手遅れが生じる。実際に鉄錆症も含めた，網膜変性疾患の本態，治療に関する研究は，最近生化学的あるいは酵素化学的研究法を導入して，急速な発展をとげておる。唯網膜鉄錆症は，網膜色素変性症等とは相違して，原因が簡明であるために，基礎的な実験研究と臨床とを直結しやすい便利な点がある。そのために，もし治療法等に効果があれば，はつきりそれが認められ，其の結果，ここでおさめた成果を，他の鉄錆症と共通点の多い網膜変性症の治療，予防にも応用出来るものと考える。柳か手前勝手な理論の進め方かも知れないが，これらの点に考慮を払つて，次の諸項目についで述べる考えである。

1) Following introductions of a small iron piece or administration of a ferric citrate so-lution into the monkey's eye, a histological survey demonstrated an early invation of macula lutea.

The representative changes observed are edema in Henle's fiber layer, originated from the ritinal blood-vessels around macula, degenerations of the outer nuclear layer and pig-ment cells, pigmentation in fovea, exsudation from choroid.

2) Later the nerve elements of macula disappeared.
