Patient. 29-year-old man. In the macular region of his right eye there was observable an elevated, yellowish-gray exudative lesion which was about 3 disc diameters in size.The vitreous body was markedly hazy in front of the retinal lesion., X-ray of the skull showed no calcification. The skin test by toxoplasmin was negative, but the methylene blue dye test (Sabin & Feldman) was weak positive in a titer of 1 : 4.

Cerebrospinal fluid obtained from the patient was inoculated intraperitoneally into mice. The parasites identified as toxoplasma were found in the peritoneal fluids of mice of 4 th passage.
