The effects of various anesthetic agents on the ocular circulation were studied by means of corneal pulse wave and radioactive isotopes, and the following conclusions were obtained.

1) The intravenous injection of thiopental in the dose of 5mg/kg did not affect theocular circulation appreciably, while 10mg/kg reduced ocular blood flow transiently imme-diately after the injection.

2) During artificial hibernation using 2mg/kg of chlorpromazine, ocular circulation was maintained normally although central retinal arterial pressure (RAP) fell to some extent.
