  • Look Inside

The study in changes of ocular circulation produced by retrobulbar injection of various drugs was performed by means of corneal pulse wave and P32 labelled red cells.

1) Vasodilators which acted peripherally such as Priscol and Nicotinic acid.

When given by intravenous injection, the changes of the ocular circulation appeared only when systemic effects were evident. However, when these drugs were given by the re-trobulbar injection, a marked and prolonged increase in the intraocular blood volume occu-rred.
