Prednisoloneの眼科的応用

Ophthalmologic Application of Predonisolone Acetate (Predonine):Experimental and Clinical Studies with Special Reference to Topical Use.

緒言

　眼科に於ける最近の各種ステロイドホルモンの応用は眼疾患の治療に新紀元を劃したものであり，其の強力な抗炎症作用殊に，抗アレルギー作用は既に万人の認める所である。最近Cortisone，Hydrbcortisoneに加えて更たより強力で毒性の少い合成副腎皮質ホルモンとしてPrednisone及びPrednisoloneが現われた事は周知の事実であり，眼科臨床にも既に広く使用されているがPrednisoloneの眼局所的な使用は今迄製剤の関係で余り行われず，未だCortisone，Hydrocor-tlsoneに取つて代る程普及していない現状である。

　我々は最近塩野義製薬よりPrednisolone （商品名Predonine）の眼軟膏及び点眼用として関節腔内注入用懸濁液の提供を受け，種々の眼疾患特に前眼部の炎症性疾患に之の局所的使用を中心とした治療を試み，又之に先立つて家兎を用いて卵白によるアレルギー性角膜炎に対するPredonineとHydrocortisone局所使用の効力比較試験を行つたので其の成績を述べる。

Clinical and experimental studies with reference to the effectiveness of Prednisolone acetate (Predonine) used topically were performed.

1) Experimental studies in albino rabbits with induced allergic keratitis and iridocyclitis demonstrated that Prednisolone acetate ointments in strengths of 0.1% and 0.5% were equally effective, but in 0.1% strength the ointment was less effective than the Hydro-cortisone acetate ointment in 0.5% strength.

2) Clinically Prednisolone acetate was used in various inflammatory conditions of anterior segments of the eye, as ointment and as suspension in 0.5% or 0.1% strength.
