臨眼11巻3号掲載浜田氏の2〜3の疑義に対する説明

My answer to the Hamada's question in Journal of Clinical Ophthalmology, volum 11, no.3.

I．余の房水排出抵抗Wが緑内障の判定に果して無意義か否か

　この浜田憲一氏の御質問に対して私は次の如く御答え致します。

　私はこれはWの計測方法にもよると思います。ことに始めは，和28年臨眼で報告した眼圧の初圧P₀，圧迫10分後の除圧しない時の眼圧P₁，除圧直後の眼圧P₂の3点より計測しましたが，これでやつていますとP₁の値が圧迫中に眼圧をSchiötzで計測するので，その手技が極めて困難であり，兎角，角膜の彎曲が異なりSchi-otz計測による値が非常にまちまちに出るので，適当でないことを知り，バイヤール目盛50瓦の読みを50mmHgとして換算した結果，P₁は測定せず，P₀-P₂をPとして，の改良式を用いる簡易方法を案出し，以後はこれを用いて居り，多田が之を発表しました。

The author improved the method to measure the aqueous outflow resistance W by pres-sing an eyeball, which gives uncorrect readings of Schiotz's tonometer from deformity of corenal curvature. The improved formula, which the author is using now, gives total outflow resistance. However, it is necessary to consider effects of such drugs as Pilocarpine in examine values of the formula. Otherwise it is possible that even glaucoma gives lowervalue.
