福岡県山門郡大和村皿垣地区住民のトラコーマ検事診成績並びに環境調査成績について

Results of mass-treatment for trachoma of residents in Saragaki District, Yamatomura, Yamato-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture. and investigation of environment.

Ⅰ．まえがき

　私共は過去数年間有明海沿岸の，トラコーマ分布について調査を行い「有明海沿岸トラコーマの公衆衛生学的研究」として既にその一部を発表したが，^1）一般に高率の地区が多く，有明海沿岸24小学校児童のトラコーマ（以下ト）罹患率は，平均46.0％（最大96.8％，最小13.6％）を示している。同11地区の児童家族に属する住民のト罹患率は，平均56.5％（最大96.2％，最小31.2％）で，

　児童の罹患率より幾分高率を示しているが，前者とほぼ類似の並行関係が認められる。

The trachoma patients were 1511 within 1524 residented of Saragaki District, Yamatomura, Yamato-gun, Fukuoka prefecture, the morbidity rate was 99.1%.

After the classification of the dept. of Interior, the severe cases were 36.6%, slight ca-ses were 39.4% and suspected cases were 27.0%. After the classification, suspected cases were 17.8%, Tr.1.22.1%, Tr. 2.19.7%, Tr. 3.32.4%, and Tr. 4.8.1%. In both classification, the severe infectious symptome were much in female.

As the investigation of environments, the walls, public birth-room and other place were examined and were very unclean.
