（30）前房水のMiddlebrook-Dubos反応の臨床的な判断について

Clinical interpretation of the Middlebrook-Dubos' test using the aqueous humor

　Behcet氏症候群を以て代表される所謂muco-cutane-ous-ocular syndromeの葡萄膜炎乃至虹彩炎は結核菌によるものか，葡萄状球菌その他の化膿菌によるものか，或はまた特定のvirusによるものか，未だ確立された説はない。若し結核菌による葡萄膜炎が，明確に他の原因によるものから判別出来る様になれば，Behcet氏症候群の場合の葡萄膜炎もその本態がやゝ明らかになるに相違ない。

　1948年，G．Middlebrook, R．J．Dubosが発表した乾燥結核菌の水溶性抽出稀釈液にて感作された緬羊赤血球が結核感染の家兎及び人間血清と特異的に凝集する反応はMiddlebrook-Dubos反応として我国に於ても多くの実験的，臨床的な報告が出て居る。眼科領域でも佐野氏（1952），清沢氏（1953），新津氏（1954）等が前房水を以つて本反応を行い，何れも結核性虹彩炎等の診断には，極めて有力な方法であると述べて居る。

An experiment on the Middlebrook-Dubos' test using the aqueous humor of a rabbit whose testicles were inoculated with tuberculous bacilli was performed and the following conclusions were reached:

1) Maximum titre of the hemagglutinin of the serum was reached between the 28th and the 42nd days.

2) The Middlebrook-Dubos' test with the 1st aqueous humor is usually negative even when the agglutinin titre of the serum is in the maximum titre.

3) However, this test with the 2 nd aqueous humor obtained by a paracentesis sometimes becomes positive, but low in its titre.
