（3）流涙に関する臨床的研究—第2報シルメル氏法の余の変法

The clinical studies on lacrimation.:Report 2. The modificated method of Schirmers test.

緒言

　余はさきに正常眼の涙液分泌量を知るために，Schirmer氏法，即ち濾紙を使用して反射的刺戟により一定短時間内に出る涙液量又は一定量の涙液が分泌されるに要する時間を測定する方法を正常人眼240眼について測定を行い，その成績を報告したが，この方法では眼瞼運動による流涙度の変動，涙道の影響を除くことが出来なかつた。そこで今回は前法を改良して確実性を深めるために前法と同じ条件の下に開瞼器を使用し，瞬目運動並びに涙道の吸引作用を制止した上使用濾紙も前回と全く同質同条件のものを用いて，その湿潤度を測定し，前法の成績と比較検討し，尚対照として開瞼器装用前に1％コカイン水1滴を点眼し，1分後本法を施行する方法をも併せ行つたので，これらについての成績を報告する。

Measuring the length of the moistened filter-paper as a variation of Schirmer's method after 2 minutes of administration of it undercertain conditions on the lower conjunctival palpebra Opened by Blepharostat. and comparing these data about each age and respective sex with the results of Schirmer's original method and 5 minutes of my non-administrative method, I noticed the similar tendency between them and consider this new method reliable, speedy concise and enough for clinical application.
