学校における色覚検査の検討

緒言

　学校保健法改正が1973年5月に行なわれ，従来「色神障害の有無及び障害の種別を明らかにする」といわれていたのが，「色覚異常の有無及程度を明らかにする」と変更された。しかしわが国では学校における色覚検査を如何にするべきかは今なお統一された見解がない。このため学校医は色覚異常程度判定に際して眼科専門医ですら少なからず混乱しているのが現況である。一方色覚検査で現在わが国で用いられているものには色覚検査表（石原表，東京医大表，大熊表），ファーズワース氏パネルD−15，ランタン，アノマロスコープなどが代表的なものであり，その方法にはそれぞれの特徴と限界があり，その組合せによつてはじめて色覚異常の有無，および程度判定が可能になつてくる。このような背景の下でわれわれは学校における色覚検査をより能率的かつ正確に行なうには如何にするべきかを知るため，札幌市内の小中学生を対象に検討を加えてみたので，その結果を報告したい。

We conducted mass-screening for color vision in 8, 162 children from primary and junior high schools in Sapporo city, Hokkaido. Color ano-maly was detected in 196 subjects. Pseudoiso-chromatic tables of Ishihara were foud to be ideal for initial screening. For the determination of degree and type of defective color vision, on the other hand, Panel D-15 test was the method of choice because of its close correlation with anomaloscopic and lantern test outcomes. It is recommended that Ishihara's charts be used in detecting and that Panel D-15 test be used in further evaluation of color-defective children in schools.
