  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Fluorescein angiography was made in patho-logical optic disc with redness and swelling, involving : choked disc (6 eyes), papillitis (7 eyes), idiopathic uveitis (9 eyes) and nephritic retinopathy (1 eye). Photography of the an-giographic sequence was conducted at the rate of 3 frames per second.

Angiographic features of choked disc were characterized by rapid extravasation of dye from prelaminar capillaries and, to a lesser degree, from engorged radial peripapillary ca-pillaries. The extent of resultant dye staining in late venous phase coincided with the distri-bution of capillary microaneurysms.
