  • Look Inside

In 26 cases of Takayasu's disease retinal circulation time was measured by means of rapid serial fluorescein angiography at the rate of 3 frames per second. The dise-to-macula circulation time, with or without retinopathy, was prolonged, averaging 6.8±1.45 seconds as compared with the value of the normal eyes, averaging 3.4±0.59 seconds.

While this prolongation was found even in the normal retina group of Takayasu's disease, the prolongation was correlated with the degree of severity of retinopathy.

In 37 cases of Takayasu's disease, plasma fibrinogen level was measured by weighing method.
