Homodilution as Provocative Test in Central Serous Retinopathy

緒言

　近年，増田型中心性網脈絡膜炎の治療法として光凝固法が用いられ，螢光漏出点に光凝固を行なうことにより，短期間に治癒を期待しうるようになつたが，そのためには早期に漏出点の存在を明確にし，凝固目標を確実に把握することが重要である。

　漏出点を明確にする方法として，飲水負荷などの試み^1）があるが，これらは多量の飲水に苦痛を伴うばかりでなく，腸管からの水分吸収が不確実であり，常に良い条件を期待できるとはいえない。

Six cases with central serous retinopathy were examined by means of fluorescence fundus angiography before and after i.v. infusion of 500ml 5% glucose solution as provocative test.

In cases during the active stage of the disease, the provocative test apparently result-ed in the appearance of new spots of dye leakage, more rapid dye diffusion and in in-creased background fluorescence around the spot of dye leakage. These findings were absent in normal fundus as well as in cases during the convalescent stage of central serous retinopathy.
