網膜剥離手術の統計的観察

Statistical analysis of retinal detachment surgery

　1974年7月より1979年6月までの5年間に当院において施行した網膜剥離手術例173例192眼について裂隙のtear型とhole型とを比較しつつ統計的処理を行った。その結果は下記のごとくである。

　（1） tear型とhole型との年齢分布には著しい差がある。つまりtear型では，ほぼ90％が40歳以上に集中する。

　（2）裂隙がtearでは上耳側に多く，holeでは耳側に均等にある。

　（3）復位率はtear型88％，hole型90％であった。

　以上tear型とhole型を区別して網膜剥離患者の統計的処理をしてきたが，今後，裂隙成因を考える際の下地としていきたい。

Statistical evaluation was made on a consecutive series of 198 eyes (173 cases) with retinal detach-ment during a 5-year-period ending June 1979. Particular attention was paid to the incidence of type of retinal breaks as correlated with age.

Retinal tears occurred in 41% and holes in 38% of the affected eyes. Holes were more prevalent among younger subjects of less than 40 years of age, while 90% of cases with retinal tears were in the age group of over 40 years. Retinal tears were most frequent in the superotemporal quandrant. Retinal holes were usually located in the supero- as well as in the inferotemporal quadrant.
