Pv tonography means, by definition, a cons-tant pressure tonography carried out at the IOP level same as the extraocular venous pressure.

The tonographic procedure is as follows:

1) Compression of the eyeball for a few minutes. After adequate compression, the IOP assumes the same value as Pv and the aqueous humor ceases to flow out of the eyeball.

2) Measurement of the rate of aqueous volume increase in the eye (S). The rate S expresses the aqueous formation rate at the IOP level same as the Pv.

3) Calculation of total outflow facility (Ctot・p0) from S, Pv and P0.
