ルビーレーザー光凝固時の網膜電位の変化について

Microelectrode Recordings from Retina by Laser Photo-Coagulation

緒言

　ルビーレーザーはこの数年間に種々の病変，とくに網膜疾患の治療に広く利用されてきた。これらの臨床的応用を可能にした基礎的研究については，すでに多くの報告があり，とくにルビーレーザー光凝固の病理組織学的^1）2），生化学的^3）または熱学的研究^4）については詳述されているが，網膜局所の活動電位については未だ発表されていない。著者等はマイクロエレクトロードを網膜内神経節細胞に直接挿入して電位の変化を記録し，光凝固前後の機能的変化を他覚的に観察することができた。この結果凝固反応の強弱と機能的変化とは平行しないことが判明したので報告する。

Using tungsten microclectrodcs and micro-manipulator, electrical potential were recorded directly from the rabbit retina. These respons-es were not obliterated by clinical photocoagu-lations of Grade I-II intensity, using the pulsed ruby laser. The findings seemed to indi-cate that the coagulation effect of ruby laser is mainly located in the outer layers of retina and that the ganglion cells remain intact after application of low-level laser energy.
