珍奇な流涙症（仮称「逆ワニの涙」）

An Unusual Case of Periodic Epiphora

I．はじめに

　涙分泌の珍奇な現象としては，いわゆる「ワニの涙」とか血涙などが報告されているが，今回これらとは少々異なり，空腹時になると涙が出て食物を食べると流涙が止まるという珍しい症例を経験したのでここに報告する次第である。

A report is presented over a 41-year-old fe-male who had been complaining of periodic epi-phora for the past one year. Excessive tear sec-retion in each eye invariably occurred in hun-gry state. During and following each meal, the rate of tear secretion was within normal value. Systemic studies revealed no abnormal findings except hypotension and status vagotonicus as revealed by positive Ashner and Czermak tests. Injection of 0.5mg of Atropine or daily admi-nistration of belladonna extracts resulted in pre-vention of epiphora in hungry state.
