高周波低強度集束超音波による水晶体無軌跡限局侵襲装置の臨床的応用

Clinical Application of Focused High-Frequency Ultrasound on Human Cataractous Lens

I．緒言

　さきの報告において集束超音波照射装置を発表し，音響的設計の根拠として超音波ビーム直径を0.5mmφとした。これは球面変換器に関する0'neil理論を採用し変換器の半径，変換器から輻射器先端までの距離，および周波数を決定したものである。結果として破壊モデル実験および回析音場音響像の観察とよく一致し，白内障水晶体の音波減衰から考えて，水晶体以外の他組織への副障害は全く問題にならないことを確認した。

　さらに低周波（1Mc以下）の集束超音波では介達的，無軌跡的の水晶体侵襲は困難であり，直達的に超音波を利用すべきことを知つた。

Trackless ultrasonic irradiations on the hu-man cataractous lens were undertaken with the hope that ultrasound would provide a means for the disruption and liquefaction of the lens nucleus of clinical cataracts.

The formation of coagulation (thermocoagu-lation) was found in a case of hard nuclear cataract, and coagulation is due to the absorp-tion of high-frequency ultrasonic radiation.

The change of permeability of lens capsule was found in a case of relatively soft nuclear cataract, and the change of capsule may be due to the absorption of low intensity ultrasonic radiation.
