抗結核剤エサンブトールによる両耳側半盲の2例

Two Cases of Bitemporal Hemianopsia due to Ethambutol

I．緒言

　新しい結核剤として注目されているEthamb—utolはその使用経験により副作用として視神経障害などの出現することがわかり，これまでにもかなりの報告がある^1）〜4）。著者らも最近この薬剤による眼障害として視力低下，色覚異常を伴つた両耳側半盲の2例を経験したが，このような症例はまだ知らないので報告したい。

Two cases of neuritis retrobulbalis due to Ethambutol, a new antituberculosis drug, were detected among 220 patients who had been administered the agent.

In these two cases, bitemporal hemianopsia with decresed visual acuity, and dyschromato-psia without any remarkable changes of the ocular fundus were obserbed.

The ocular manifestations showd remarkable improvement within about 5 months by active treatment.
