Neurotoxicity of ethambutol, isoniazid and chloramphenicol in animals

I．はじめに

　数多くの薬物が開発され，治療に用いられている現在，それら薬物の中毒作用，副作用については十分な注意が払われなければならない。今回われわれはエサンブトール（EB），イソニアチッド（INH），クロラムフェニコール（CP）の神経系への副作用を実験動物を用い病理的に検討したので報告し，若干の考察を試みたい。

Animal experiment was performed to elicit the neurotoxicity of ethambutol, isoniazid and chlor-amphenicol. The experimental animals consisted of dogs, rabbits and rats. Animals were given high doses of ethambutol, isoniazid and chloram-phenicol respectively orally or intramuscularly. The results were briefly summarized as follows. The degenerative changes were observed in the optic nerve, spinal cord and peripheral nerve by administration of ethambutol, isoniazid and chlor-amphenicol respectively in all.
