A Case of Fundus Flavimaculatus

I．緒言

　Fundus flavimaculatus （以下F．f．m．と略記）という病名は，1962年Franceschetti^1）によつてはじめて提唱され，次のような特徴をもつ疾患である。

1）網膜深層に多数の黄灰白色の斑点が存在する。

A report is presented on a 28-year-old malewith fundus flavimaculatus, a clinical entity first proposed by Franceschetti in 1962.

The fundus of both eyes were essentially characterized by the presence of oval yellowish-white flecks in deep retinal layer varying in shape and size. These flecks were frequently confluent and were scattered over the papillo-macular and the midperipheral fundus area. While macular degeneration was present as an associated feature, no pathological involvement was seen in the far peripheral fundus. Peripheral visual field was normal with marked central scotoma.
