慢性緑内障に対するサークレチン錠内服の治療効果について

Use of Circuletin in Simple Glaucoma

I．緒言

　緑内障に対する治療として，眼圧調整後に視力視野などの機能を保持する目的で，循環系調整剤，サークレチン錠の内服を試みて経過を観察し，いささかみるべき結果を得たので以下に報告する。

Sixteen patients with simple or secondary glaucoma were treated by perorally administered Circuletin, a cardiac stimulator, and were fol-lowed up for longer periods. In all cases studied, satisfactory control of intraocular tension was achieved by topical miotics or systemic aceta-zolamide whenever necessary.

Improvement in visual field resulted in 5 cases and no further contraction in visual field set in in 9 cases. Campimetric deterioration occurred only in 2 cases. Circuletin is recommended as an adjunct to conventional glaucoma treatments in order to guard the visual function against further impairment.
