　I．緒言

　Audiologyが長足の進歩を遂げている現在なお耳鳴の本態に関する知見は貧弱で，其の治療に到つては暗中模索と云わざるを得ない。耳鳴の成因に就いての諸仮説を2大別すると，感音系組織の異常興奮説及び伝音系組織異常説とになる。然し成因が何れにあるにせよ，実際に耳鳴が発現するには，種々複雑な因子が関係しているので従来よりその立場の相異から種々異つた治療が試みられて来た。

　私は外来を訪れた100名の耳鳴患者にストップミン錠を使用し，其の結果を得たのでここに報告する。又，効果判定に患者の主訴に依るものとは別に，耳鳴遮蔽曲線を用いたので併せ記述する。

One hundred cases of tinnitus aurium was treated by administration of stopmin table-ts. Seventeen percent of cases reported a complete abatement of the symptom: 39% improved. But due to administration of thisagent there were an overall improvement of 56%. The effectivity of the drug appeared to be less inversely proportional to the deg-ree of the loss of hearing established; less in cases of nerve deafness than that of con-ductive deafness. The effectiveness of the drug will generally be shown by the time that 60 tablets are administered but conti-nuation of drug administration was highly essential.
