Clinical Trial of A.O. Cataract Lens Set

I．緒言

　白内障術後の矯正眼鏡は通常強度の凸レンズを必要とする上に，手術による乱視が加わるため，いろいろの問題がある。しかし眼科医としては，第一に，できるだけ効率のよいレンズを使用し，第二に，それによつてもなお起こる新しい視経験に早く馴れさせるよう努力すべきで，こうしてこそ始めて手術成績が生きてくると言えよう。

　われわれは最近，A．O．カタラクトレンズを術後の仮矯正眼鏡として試用し，よい成績を得ている。少数例であるが，このセットの紹介をかねて報告する。

A.O. Cataract Lens Set is designed to be used as trial spectacles for the patients after cataract surgery. Its characteristic lies in that the sm-aller lens (strong plus spherical) is stuck on the larger one (negative toric), thus forming a sort of lenticular type.

Having tried to use the lenses in nine apha-kic patients, the authors accept its availability to accelerate patients' learning of new visual experiences as well as to attain good vision.
