特発性網膜黄斑部孔形成について

Idiopathic Hole in the Mascular. A Study on Six Cases

I．緒言

　黄斑部孔形成についてはKuhnt,Haabらによつて記載されて以来多数の報告がなされているが，非外傷性のものはまだ少ない。

　本症の成因に関しては種々の説があり，Fuchs，須田^1）らによつて分類されているが，まだ結論を得るまでに至つていない。

Eight eyes in 6 patients with hole in the macu-la have been studied to ascertain the clinicalpicture of the disease. The ages of the patients ranged from 58 to 76 years.

The visual acuity was reduced to a level be-tween 0.04 and 0.2. Absolute central scotoma was present in all the cases studied. No chara-cteristic pathological findings were elicited as to EEG, chest x-ray picture, hepatc and renal functions or the electrolyte level in the serum. A tendency was observed for the total choles-terol in the serum, cholesterol ester and neutral fat to assume high values.
