コントロール不充分な糖尿病患者における網膜症について

On the Occurrence of Diabetic Retinopathy in Therapeutic Control of Sugar Level.

I．まえがき

　良好なコントロールが保たれているにも拘らず，網膜症の発症，進行する症例についての検討結果を著者等は当誌^1）上に先に発表したが，その際血中総脂質量と糖負荷後2時間値（いずれも治療開始前）とにある程度の関連を認めた。しかし，コントロールと網膜症との関連性を疑うものの今一つの論拠にコントロール不良なるにも拘らず網膜症の出現を認めぬ症例群の存在するという事実がある。

　著者の1人編田が糖尿病専門外来所属患者の眼底定期検診を行いはじめてすでに5年以上になるが，3年以上にわたり眼底所見の経過を観察し得た症例数も約130名となつた。

The purpose of this report is to discuss on the occurrence of diabetic retinopathy and its progress in the cases of diabetes whosetherapeutic control of blood sugar level is "poor" or "fair".

With the exception of 5 brittle diabetes cases, observation was made on 126 diabetic cases, on whom eye-ground examinations had been repeated for more than three years.

These 126 cases contained 48 cases whose diabetic control was either "fair" or "poor" (no good). Among these 48 cases, the occur-rence of diabetic retinopathy was observed on 29 cases.
