交通事故によつて多発したアンモニアによる眼障害とこれを全治せしめた経験について

Complete Cure of Ocular Damage due to Ammonia Occurring in Traffic Accidents

I．緒言

　眼腐蝕として最も頻度の高い角膜及び結膜の腐蝕は，酸アルカリ，金層塩類，動物性並びに植物性物質，種々の合成品等によって惹起させる。

　これら腐蝕物質の何れもこれに触れた部の蛋白質を凝固して組織の壊死を起し濃厚な混濁を角膜に生ずるが，一般的に云って酸類は角膜では表層を強く浸し深部には至らないが「アルカリ」は酸と異なり浸透性があり組織の深部を腐蝕するので「アルカリ」による眼障害は酸によるよりも重症なものが多いことは衆知のことである。

A report is presented over the clinical cou-rse and therapeutic outcomes of 29 patients with severe ammonia damage to the outer eye caused by a traffic accident with resul-tant exposure to liquid and vapour ammonia while sitting in a bus. Treatment consisted of administration of Alinamin F at the daily dosis of 50mg i.v. and 225mg perorally, supp-lemented by frequent eye douche and local and systemic application of vitamin B₂ and B₆. Complete clinical cure was brought about in all treated cases without any residual cor-neal opacity.
