Treatment of pseudomyopia by buscopan (as drops)

緒言

アトロピン様作用を有する各種の自律神経遮断剤の眼内筋に対する作用態度を調べ，Buscopan（C．H．Boehringer Sohn—田辺） Hyoscine-N-butylbromide

　〔註〕本剤は副交感神経節の神経伝導に対し特異な遮断作用を有するHyoscine-N-butylbromideで，次ぎの構造式を有している。

We previously found that, among autonomic nervous ganglion-blocking agents having atropine-like action, instillation into eyes of Buscopan aqueous solution (0.5—1.0%) acted more strongly on ciliary muscle stronger than on pupillary and its prolonging action of focus was more remarkable than mydriatic action.

Therefore, we used instillation of Buscopan aqueous solution (0.5—1.0%) for eyes in the treatment of pseudomyopia and have now obtained good results as reported above. (Read before the 7th Meeting of the Shikoku Ophthalmological Association held at Kochi on June 23rd, 1957).
