同胞3名が凡て両眼性の網膜膠腫であつた一家系

Occurrence of bilateral retinoblastoma in 3 siblings

　この家系は兄弟3名全部が両眼の網膜膠腫に犯かされたと考えられる例である。

　第1子は男性で，生後10ヵ月から右眼眼底に黄色腫瘍，次いで左眼眼底にも同様所見を認めたが，その後来院せず，2歳6ヵ月で死亡した由である。

Occurrence of bilateral retinoblastoma invo-lving one whole generation of 3 siblings is reported.

The affected members belonged to a pedig-ree in which neither consaguinity of parents nor known incidence of malignant tumor was present.

One member of the affected siblings died before initiation of treatment. Radiation the-rapy proved futile in another, who was also dead after belated enucleation. In the third member the outcome of conservative treatme-nt is yet to be proved.

Pertinent literature is reviewed and the bi-zarre hereditary aspect of retinoblastoma is commented upon.
